My Windows Explorer folders won't stay sorted. I prefer to keep them
sorted by Name in List view but they keep defaulting to sorting by
date!

I've tried resetting them in View/Folder Options/View/Reset All
Folders and I've also tried setting all folders the same.

The problem exists in the "save" and "save as" window.

Any suggestions appreciated.

You are referring to two different things....an Explorer window (or folder window),
and "Save/Save As" dialogs.

In an Explorer or folder window, try setting the sort order as you want it, then
press F5, then hold down the CTRL key while you close the window with the X in the
upper right corner.
